1. How does Pristine® Water Purification System work?
When Pristine® Water Purification System Part A and Part B are mixed together, chlorine dioxide is activated and releases oxygen in a highly active form. This effectively treats viruses, bacteria, cysts/parasites, giardia, and cryptosporidium while enhancing the taste of water.
2. How safe is Pristine® Water Purification System?
Water treated with Pristine® Water Purification System is safe to drink on a recreational basis when used as directed. Some chemicals, like iodine, chlorine, and other halogens create potentially harmful by-products.
3. Can Pristine® Water Purification System be pre-mixed in a container other than the mixing cup provided?
Pristine® Water Purification System can be mixed in any clean container that is small enough to ensure Part A and Part B mix together thoroughly. Part A and Part B must be pre-mixed before adding it to the water. Pre-mixing Part A and Part B activates the chlorine dioxide and begins the release of oxygen that treats viruses, bacteria, cysts/parasites, giardia, and cryptosporidium. The mixture will turn bright yellow and give off a strong chlorine type odour as the chlorine dioxide activates. Only then is the Pristine® mixture ready to be added to the water.
